2002 new designation for GTK (8x8): Boxer, 12 prototypes starting 2002, 200 for Bundeswehr, order expected end of 2006, of which 65 will be command vehicles; Delivery of the first production vehicle was in autumn 2009. Die Bundeswehr soll ab 2010 472 Fahrzeuge in vier Versionen erhalten. Bis 2013 sind 272 zur Auslieferung gelangt.

2020: 403 Boxer aller Versionen; of 523 ordered
